In 2005, Mel packed up, moved over to Australia and changed the name to THE GREENMATICS. When writing songs for The Greenmatics, Mel is inspired by music which has infectious melodies, driving beats and 80's synths - "music you can't help but dance to and melodies that get stuck in your head, but not in an annoying way".
