Fats White is a 2-6 piece that live on Karangahape Road in Auckland, and have an edge and voice that hails first and foremost from the street. They play anywhere to anyone and have a lot of love for what they do. They apply a unique sound with a lot of help from unconventionAL INSTRUMENTS, AS WELL as the usual suspects in guitar, sax, violins.... How about carpenters saws, a largerphone, made up entirely from recycled bottletops - washboards, horns whistles, jew harp.

Brent Hayward, aka Fats White is happiest when he is on the edge, challenging the mainstream and any authority that interferes with that. Anarchist, acclaimed musician, raconteur, male-prostitute and no respecter of fashion, Fats White is comfortably unconventional.
